Day 1 - Acerola Jam 0
- Got the idea pretty much defined: an idillic green planet populated by weird little guys™ suddently gets interrupted when a mining rig falls from the sky. Now the player must try to find their friends and try to stop the intruder. Inspired by Endling (maybe the fact that I'm currently working at Herobeat inspired me a bit 😅), Death Stranding, Firewatch, Metroid Prime...
- Created the repo, version control, itch page, Trello and Miro board
- Implemented an imput system, a placeholder Little guy™, blocked the landscape size and crater, a rough mining rig and did a bunch of concepts
- Pretty happy for how the project is starting, but I'm worried about over-scoping in the shaders and vfx department. I will try to get the gameplay and blockout ready as soon as possible to at least have a finished game, if not the prettiest!
